If you attended our harvest social this last Saturday, I announced that due to accelerated ripening of grapes in CA, due to the hotter than usual weather, our zinfandel grapes would arrive this next Thursday and we would have a mini-crush event for 8 tons

First Crush Winery gets much of its Cabernet Sauvignon from this hillside vineyard in Suisun Valley, CA. It boarders the Stagg’s Leap District of Napa Valley. Note the rocky mineral-rich soil. In this environment, grape clusters struggle more creating a more intense flavor outcome.
