My contribution for those wishing for a White Christmas
Merry Christmas my friends……
Diane and I wish you all a healthy, happy and meaningful holiday season. Always a time for reflection, renewal and a time to enjoy family and friendships. In the process, I expect most of you will toast the season with a glass or two of First Crush. It pleases me to contribute to your holiday experiences.
As of last week, all reds have been racked multiple times and now reside in oak aging hibernation until summer and beyond. As planned, this next Coop season we will have much more Rapture and Amore. We will plan to bottle some by late June for the thirst deprived Sangiovese lovers.
This is now the time of the year a wine maker can relax a bit. It is a time for organization and planning for the next busy season. The winery be open Wednesday – Saturday during the winter. With that said, we may run off to a winery conference or two, or a sudden urge to take a short break off-Cape. Not a bad idea to call before coming by to pick up more wine at your reserve rate, or simply to say hello.
Our Winter Social……
Save the date… January 27th, from 4-6pm. Our winter social is always the week before Super Bowl. God help us if we miss a football playoff game. Last year it was a pep-rally for the Patriots. 100+ cooperatives and their guests attended in uniform. We had a blitz, I mean a blast! Not bad for late January on Cape Cod. Let’s hope this will be a pep-rally once again. Entertainment to be announced. Couples are asked to bring an appetizer and singles can mooch!
A young boy went up to his father and asked him, “Dad, what is the difference between ‘potentially’ and ‘realistically’?”
The father thought for a moment, then answered, Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, and then, ask your brother if he’d sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that.”
So the boy went to his mother and asked, “Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?” The mother replied, “Of course, I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great university!”
boy then went to his sister and asked, “Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?” The girl replied, “Oh, good heavens! I LOVE Brad Pitt and I would sleep with him in a heartbeat. Are you nuts?”
boy then went to his brother and asked, “Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?” “Of course,” the brother replied. “Do you know how much a million bucks would buy?”
The boy pondered the answers for a few days and then went back to his dad. His father asked him, Did you find out the difference between ‘potentially’ and ‘realistically’?
The boy replied, “Yes, ‘Potentially’ you and I are sitting on three million dollars, but ‘realistically’ we’re living with two hookers and a future congressman.”
