A happy couple at our winter social Patriots pep-rally…
but not as happy as we would be one week later.
All of First Crush’s 2016 wines have been bottled except for our historic big reds, our zinfandel blend (visZINary), and our cabernet blend (Fusion). Those bottles should be full of themselves by mid-summer. FYI: We are only selling our new Super Tuscan blend (Amore) at the winery. It is not available wholesale. We did not make a great deal of it this year, however the feeling is, we need to make more next year. Not to worry, I will notify all of you in a future update if I am at risk of running low on a supply of any of our wines. As always, the COOP comes first.
The Cape is waking up and the winery is getting busier by the week in regard to visitors. Our resorts to the east are sending more and more corporate groups for tastings and tours. Lately I feel like I am in the entertainment business. Thank God I’m funny!
Our Spring COOP Social…
Saturday, May 27th, 4-6pm. That’s the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Once again, Cajun Bob and his gang will supply the musical accompaniment. Pray for a sunny warm day so that our doors can be open to the world. Most know the drill, but for our newest members, couples bring an appetizer and singles can mooch. We only invite COOP members, however, members can bring guests. Everyone always has a great time and we hope to see you there.
No RSVP required. There is a 10.00 cover for entertainment, and such, and just $5.00 per glass of wine. It’s always a great time and we will look forward to seeing you all.
If you are planning on picking up wine at the next social, contact me by email or phone before that day, but after May 22
nd. This will allow me to organize your pickup request in advance.
At the social itself, it is difficult for me to wheel wine out through the dancing crowd and reconcile my COOP spreadsheet.
Look how COOPerative everyone is! Where is Hendrick?
An elderly couple, who were both widowed, had been going out with each other for a long time. Urged on by their friends, they decided it was finally time to get married.
Before the wedding, they went out to dinner and had a long conversation regarding how their marriage might work. They discussed finances, living arrangements and so on.
Finally, the old gentleman decided it was time to broach the subject of their physical relationship. ‘How do you feel about sex?’ he asked, rather tentatively.
‘I would like it infrequently’ she replied.
The old gentleman sat quietly for a moment, adjusted his glasses, leaned over towards her and whispered,
Is that one word or two?’
Forman Chuck’s got his hands full… he’s got glasses everywhere!
